The wind has died down and the rain has finally stopped well for now anyway.

The wind and rain have stopped, leaving us with a dank, wet, grey day.

No plans for the day. Perhaps The Great Escape will be on telly?

We're at Leeds. The plan was to go with my eldest but he decided he should be at home with his family. Quite right too. I didn't fancy the trek on my own. I haven't been for 30 years but my memory is Elland Road is a pig of ground to get to.

Burnley on Saturday though. Biggest east Lancashire derby of my life and I've seen a few of them!!!!

Feeling a bit fragile this morning as my daughter coerced me to 'see the new year in'. I slept till 9.30 and I cannot recall the last time I did that.
