Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies this morning then I'm off to Chase farm hospital for my assessment.
Before that I'll be out with Millie for a walk.
The weather is due to get bad around mid afternoon with 50mph+ winds, so it's a possibility that the fireworks in London will be cancelled as are other events around the country.

I really really really must do an Aldi dash. I have put it off for days but need stocks eg tonight we are having cheese and wine so it would be a good idea to actually have some cheese and some wine.
I will go at 9 and hope it's not full of mad shoppers

Bruce walked and well exercised chasing his ball. Tomorrow mornings walk might be a wet walk, ie, chucking with rain so he'll get long enough to wee and poo but no more, so wanted him to really stretch his legs this morning.

My recent tech purchase was an Apple TV box to run my cycling apps on. What a difference using the 55” telly in the bedroom for cycling. Much more immersive than the ipad.

Good morning folks. It's starting to brighten up and the wind has abated. I accompanied Mrs Tkk on a short walk / jog yesterday, her first since injuring her hamstring several weeks ago. Weather due to deteriorate later and tomorrow's parkrun may well be cancelled. Glad I decided against the New Years Day race tomorrow, it goes past the end of our road so I might amble along and cheer on the poor souls braving the elements.
As it's the end of the calendar year I will take a look at a complete year's energy usage and see what difference the solar PV and battery have made compared to last year, should be some interesting insights.

I used to enjoy doing that sort of stuff. Purchasing the components from somewhere like Novatech and putting it all together, choosing the motherboard / processor / cooling fan / case / power supply etc. A bit like putting Lego together. I got used to decoding the pattern of beeps that the motherboards made if / when it was misconfigured.
Nowadays I'm happy with my MacBook Air and it's been years since Mrs Tkk volunteered my unpaid tech support services to her friends 😉

I have the Apple TV Box, the interface is excellent, I've even played with the " Siri " button on the side " Siri, turn on the TV and tune to Mastermind on BBC2 " It has transformed my 5 year old LG TV, that was getting as slow as treacle and sending information about our viewing habits back to the mothership 😁
