Mrs D has done something to her back and was almost in tears last night. I've rubbed jn some ibuleve gel and ordered her to staynjn bed, so my plans for a tip run etc have gone down the U bend.

Another day when I can't be bothered going to Aldi. Daughter did me a chicken salad yesterday so I still have food to eat.
I will instead watch my recorded footy from yesterday.
BTW
I may be the only person not to have watched the film The God Father. Well I watched it last night,,, it was very good.

I saw it god knows how many’s year’s ago at the cinema.Black and white Marlon Brando mumbling Didn’t think much to it then.

We have been married for a few year - 7 or 8 or something

anyway - anniversary is in April - I think
when we get closer I will sneak a look at the Champagne glasses her son got us for our wedding - they have the dates on
she never remembers anyway

actually not even sure I remembered this year - some time in June I started wondering if I had got her anything and couldn;t remember

in September I asked her if she thought I had remembered and she couldn't remember if I did or not - but if I didn't then she didn't either and if I did neither of us could remember if she did or not

Good grief, even in retirement, you wonder where you're going to get the time to do stuff.
Our last year, with work up until retirement, the grandkids, etc has been extraordinarily busy and all encompassing. While the house is outwardly ok, rooms need decorating, stuff needs doing...and to cap it off, I disconnected the dishwasher last night, new one arrived today...and the wall tap dripped overnight and its got under the laminate flooring, just lifting an already slightly damaged bit...it all needed replacing anyway.
None of its bad, you'd walk in and not see anything bad ...but I need to start cracking on. I'm terrible at self motivation....phhhhh, it's a bit depressing.

Apparently The Godfather 2 is even better. It's now on my list to watch. I'm only 50 years late.

I have been onto the hospital and I am booked in for a pre op assessment tomorrow morning. Things are moving.

I do like duck eggs. But they seem to be a bit scarce in the shops and market stalls of late, I believe it is something to do with the recent outbreaks of avian flu in the wild populations.

These are lovely. They are bright yellow colour.
