Portions have got ridiculous there days.
Was in Scarborough a couple of years back and fancied a nice bit of haddock for my tea.
As is well known, spoilt for choice along Scarborough seafront, so picked one and asked for a large haddock, no chips.
Lad brought it out and apologised for the fact that as they'd run out of large haddock, they'd given me two small ones instead.
No problem until I saw the size of them. If they were 'small', then the large one would have needed a plate the size of a dustbin lid - ! :okay:

Wonder how it got its name? Molly sometimes growls if she hears someone coming to the door, but she hasn’t barked so far.

I have spoken with the owner Mo, he tells the tale of when there were a group of four people who had the idea that a small local pub selling a choice of beers from small independent breweries would fill a need that all the chain pubs didn't. Things was set in motion, premises located, ( must be on a bus route and have a local community in easy walking / cycling distance etc )
When it was all coming together they thought about a name, and various suggestions were made without any concensus being reached. Later that evening one of them was in the shower shouting out random combinations of names to his wife who burst out laughing on hearing " Barking Cat " . So that's it Mo, a naked bloke in a shower came up with the name 🤣

Chicken Bhuna made from scratch

where scratch refers to a jar of Pataks sauce and some chicken breasts and onion that were raw when I started

made 3 portions - 2 will go in the freezer as SWMBO is having beans on toast

Not tried Pataks for many years.
I enjoy the Aldi jar. It has a separate powder that you mix as you fry the onions/mushrooms etc then add that when the chicken is sealed....... It is very nice.
