Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
We recently got a Sage microwave oven after our old Panasonic died. The controls are really intuitive and it has its own button for setting the clock. I even tried out the defrost button and the results were spot on.

I quite fancy a sage oven, one of the small ones. My sons partner has one and she really likes it especially for cakes

In my original post I was referring to the Sage Microwave. We were so impressed we purchased a Sage Mini Oven /Air Fryer. An exceptionally good piece of kit and so easy to use. Toasted sandwiches, cakes, oven chips etc. really economical too, as it is so compact we found that reducing the time for oven chips etc works best. A few clever touches, for example, if you have the wire rack in the middle shelf position then there are magnets that pull it halfway out as you open the door ( the door opens downward), and pushes the shelf back in as it closes.
I have made several cakes, and Mrs Tkk made a Victoria sponge that came out perfectly ( we use rectangular cake tins as they sit side by side)

Hello! Well it's been a very odd week so far. Monday taken up with Mrs P's hospital and consultant appointments. The good news is the lesions have not developed further, the treatment is keeping them in check. Mrs P can continue with immunotherapy as opposed to chemo which had a devastating impact of her last time. #SP 1 came yesterday, she was on top form. Huge fun and exhausting. This morning I was supposed to ride but the weather was awful. Probably just as well. About 9.00 I was overwhelmed by tiredness and went back to bed. Lunchtime I started my exercise routines - stretches went well but when I began the weights the shoulder was painful and my balance was all over the place. Packed it in. This afternoon we went to #SP1's nativity............you have never seen so many sheep, shepherds and angels..........you all know who the star angel was.......don't you??????

I took a big step today. A very dear friend slowly stopped communicating over the last four years. It started during lockdown and contact became less and less frequent, eventually stopping about 18 months ago. I carried on sending chatty news for a few months and gave up. Throughout 2024 I've considered getting in touch but hesitated. This person is important to me. On Monday I bought a nice card and wrote a brief note leaving out Mrs P's news. I don't want sympathy. This afternoon I posted the card........in some ways it was cathartic..........we will see what happens.

In other news Mrs P is talking about a holiday in Bhutan  ....................in more other news laying on the sofa this afternoon she looks absolutely nackered.

Like I say a very odd week so far

Now for something completely different.
I think the drain pipe under the shower tray is leaking and water is dripping through the ceiling so , obviously, we can't shower until it is fixed. Old fashioned hand wash until then.
I have phoned two plumbers today , leaving my number for them to call back but no one has so far.
I have phoned our insurance too and my excess is £750 so very unlikely to put a claim in. This is turning out to be a very expensive end of the year.
