Good morning from a blowy Dorset with scudding clouds and the sun trying to break through.
Following my trip to the Opticians yesterday I have ordered a couple of Philips High CRI index ( colour rendition index ) GU10 lamps to replace the existing ones in the lower flexible arms of our uplighters. I use these as reading lights and the new lamps should provide a better quality of light. Off out for a run shortly, then will pop to the shops and get my Secret Santa gift 🎅🏻. The food convoys continue to arrive. Yesterday saw two Veg Boxes from Able and Cole " Extra for Christmas as we have daughter and Grandson visiting for a week " I then found out that an additional " Christmas veg box " will be arriving on Monday. This is accompanied by " I'm popping down to Aldi later to pick up a few things " 😮
Sureley I can't be the only person who finds this irrational? I once remarked while unpacking the groceries " Do you want me to put this away or shall I save cupboard space and just chuck it straight in the bin now? " Thaat did not go down well.

Morning all . It’s a little wind here too , 18 gusting 40mph. But at least it’s dry, for now anyway . I think the rain is due back in the middle of the afternoon. It’s a lazy day for me today as it’s the day between my two lots of volunteering on Tuesdays and Thursdays . I just have to drop my daughter in town and do a little shopping . You have to pace yourself you know 😂😀.

I've just noticed that the bird feeders in the garden are empty. Time for a refill.
They are eating plenty at the moment, and I suspect that the squirrels are getting some as well.

Windy here - next door's posh canopy is bending rather mor ethan I would like if it was mine

pretty sure thatits resting position has the uprights somewhat off the vertical - so I suspect it has bent a bit!!!

Anyway - we have a family birthday "do" tonight - SWMBO's nephew is 30 and the family are going to a local pub for a meal
there will probably be a few drinks involved
we will be getting a taxi as I'm not driving because
a) everyone else will be drinking
b) I might end up talking to my brother-in-law who I have absolutely zero in common with and who is reckoned by many people to be the thickest person who manages to walk and talk at the same time
so I will need a drink!!


Also feeling rubbish - probably a virus so I'm blaming the grand kids - won;t make the "do" any easier becuase it always makes my hearing dodgy - which is great in a noisy pub

We recently got a Sage microwave oven after our old Panasonic died. The controls are really intuitive and it has its own button for setting the clock. I even tried out the defrost button and the results were spot on.
