As a rule, I never take my car to a car wash as I resent paying for it. Today, I broke my rule and did take my car to the car wash as I couldn't be bothered to do it myself. Can I be forgiven for it as the weather is mild today and I should have done it by hand.
I promise it will be a long time before it happens again.

Something really weird and very unpleasant has just happened (seriously).
I have just had a parcel delivered, addressed to Mrs Smith.
I opened it to find 3 pairs of jeans from M&S. .
Very upsetting.
Been on to M&S customer services and explained the situation, emphasising how upset this has made me.
Customer services couldnt give me an answer and have "escalated" it and promised I will have a full answer within 24 hours.
Main worry, Sue and I had a shared bank account....... Have they taken the money out of my account.

Don’t want to worry you unduly, but, personally If I were you, I would be checking my bank account NOW, and then, a couple of times per day, until this resolved.

Oops.
Mystery solved.
Daughter had a joint M&S account with her Mum and it's her that's ordered them.
We have looked at the order and it's ordered in daughters name and paid for by her card. No idea why it's been delivered with Sue's name on.

Good evening. An interesting visit to the optician. I was a few minutes early for my appointment and as I was confirming my details they asked if I wanted an OCT scan ( Optical Coherence Tomography) that takes a 3D image of the back of the eye. Not free as not NHS but as it was only £9 I said yes. The machine looked a bit SciFi with plenty of beeps and whirring sounds. Unfortunately it kept throwing a wobbly despite the operator switching it off and on again😀. They said they would do the usual eye puff and usual tests and they would scan my eyes after I had seen the optician. It turned out to be my eyes that were causing the issue, diffracting the beam and preventing the laser focusing on the back of the eye. 👀

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
