Well what a game changer. I used the Garmin Varia for the first time today. It really is very, very good for keeping one informed of traffic approaching from behind. When manoeuvring its no substitute for a shoulder check but as simple information about the speed and distance of vehicles behind it's excellent.

Mine shows three colours:

Green = clear
Green + little car icon = vehicle behind at same speed as rider
Amber = vehicle approaching faster than the rider speed
Red = vehicle approaching at speed that means one hopes next of kin can find the Will 🤣

Morning all :hello:

Staying in this morning as MrsD's expecting an IKEA furniture delivery for her office/hobby room.
Managed to sort out our minor storm damage yesterday, so all good here.

It's brewed by the Glastonbury Brewery, so I doubt that it gets 'oop north'. It's an excellent pint but only brewed in small batches, so not always available.

I have been buried in IKEA boxes for 4 days now - building bedside cabinets and wardrobes. Still haven't finished.

Horrible job having temporarily taken over my life. ☹️

Some incredibly heavy boxes (wardrobe carcasses, mirror doors etc) and have hurt my back and knee lifting the goddamned things. Never again!

Good luck with yours.

When we buy flat pack furniture I unpack it and carry upstairs piece by piece. It takes a lot longer but I just can't handle the weight anymore.
