Is that a guess or you have researched it,?

Just Google, but even that varies. Also depends on the type of snail.

Yes, we're on the train at the moment. Approaching Winchester and running sixteen minutes late due to the train ahead being held in Southampton due to " disruptive behaviour onboard " needing BTP to sort it out.

iirc there's 2 reheat times on the package, one for chilled and a longer one for frozen.

That is correct.
So why can't I microwave a meal that I have cooked and frozen without defrosting?

Here we are sat on the chemo ward. Drip. Drip. Drip. Anyway shopping done, haircut, magnesium sulphate tablets purchased, other bits and bobs attended to.

B&M have let me down.......they didn't have any bamboo toothbrushes in stock. That's twice now.

Yesterday the garage discovered a worn brake caliper was causing premature wear of the pads and creating the noise I would hear from time to time. I don't really understand that but they're trustworthy and honest people. We often have a beer together at the club.

@Mo1959 thank you for the video. You have saved my sanity. I get very frustrated when this techy stuff doesn't work. Now I know I can just press the button I can relax and forget the app. Cheers.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Because food companies have very exacting standards when it comes to freezing their meals.

If you have your own Cooked meal that you essentially want to re heat, you may not have adhered to the rules exactly for temp food is stored at etc before being frozen and often ready meals are frozen at much lower and faster temps. Also the dish you put the item into may not be as clean or sterile as the ones used by food companies.

So not waiting long enough to freeze the item, plus possible bacteria contamination at any stage can result in food poisoning or even death depending on the item you want to re heat.

Of course there is nothing stopping you from re heating your own food if that's what you want. However, buyer beware as they say.

I think it's something to do with the freezing process, ready meals are flash frozen at very low temps, which seal in the nutrients whilst keeping bacteria down. Ordinary home freezing is a slower process which can allow bacteria to survive before the process is complete. Of course, this could be total b*$$*cks and there's no difference, in which case, feel free to ignore me.
