Grandson turned up an hour before lunch and went straight to the slow cooker. " is there enough for me", so I had to stretch it further by putting a couple of dumplings into it.

Fed, watered and now he has gone off to see his friends.

I have decided to invest in fleece lined bloomers. I hear they are all the rage now especially in the cold weather. OK so I might look like the Michelin man, but who cares if I'm warm from above my waist down to my knees. Persobally I think I might look quite fetching

It is a beautiful day. Air temperature in the shade is 4⁰. Cycling would have been OK. Our next planned ride is Sunday. An hour ago I got a weather warning for rain and snow Saturday 04.00 to Sunday 09.00. Fed up with this.

Today I'm doing admin.

Lunch is a baked potato with tuna and sweetcorn. Yummy!

Been back to bed after being up since just after 3. I slept very heavy.
Just had a phone call and will be off to the pub at 12.30.

what debauchery! In bed until 11:30, then straight to the pub (only jealous)

It’s been another sunny but bitingly cold day here. Took the opportunity for a trip to Dunfermline, having never looked around it before. Took the train to the recently renamed Dunfermline City station. The city didn’t disappoint. Spent several hours wandering around its extensive parks and Abbey and Palace, fabulous history there. And even the High Street seemed ok, most shops occupied and some quite nice ones. And some great views looking south over the Forth bridges. So well worth a trip and we expect to visit again perhaps when it’s a bit warmer !

My only recollection of Dunfermline was when I ran the 1999 Edinburgh Marathon. It started in one of the parks in Dunfermline before heading over the Forth Road Bridge into Edinburgh.
