The chap from the local carpet / flooring shop did an excellent job on our bathroom floor. Packed out the uneven bits where a small area of floorboards had been previously replaced with the modern metric equivalent, before laying ply over the whole floor and then the vinyl.
A charming guy with that ageing hippy look, chatting with him after the job was finished he turned out to be an opera aficionado and classical music buff. Next project is to make a bath panel out of tongue and groove then that's done and dusted.
Meanwhile the weather is a tad grim, though having recently watched the documentary " Endurance " I shall gird my loins and face the elements on today's run😁

I’m not long back from a 5K shuffle. The legs are feeling heavy just now. Don’t know if it’s lack of running fitness or the cold weather. Still enjoyed it though.

At least I got slightly faster each mile. It’s something I suppose.

What a cheek. They’ve copied my willy walk. I should sue them!

Good morning all, cold and windy here. Staying dry for now.

A few random facts about Dunfermline. It’s abbey was founded by Queen, later Saint, Margaret, the Saxon queen of Malcolm III. She was also buried there. Most of Robert the Bruce is also buried there. Charles I was born there, the last Scottish or UK monarch to have been born in Scotland. It’s most famous son is Andrew Carnegie who made a huge fortune in America and donated large parts of it to good causes. Hence the Carnegie Hall in New York and its namesake in Dunfermline.
