Liverpool City Region has a very good free bus pass scheme for everyone over 60
for the whole region
except the little inconvenient bit nailed onto the side that they like to forget about
I think it's called Puerto Rica Halton

we have to wait until we can get the National one at 66!!!

(probably wouldn;t use it anyway and the bus past our road it due about 3 times a day and the main bus stops are too far away for my wife to walk to but it is the principle that matters!!!!)

My Bro lives on the Wirral and their free pass includes bus, train and Mersey ferry. An excellent deal as they can get anywhere they want foc.
I, on the other hand, get free local bus.

Yeah - I know - so he can travel all the way to Southport for nothing.

Just had message from my brother. He just got back from taking one of his cats to the vet. She had to have 6 teeth extracted at a cost of £1.012.00. . I'm glad I don't have any pets.

I learnt yesterday that my over-60’s bus pass covers not only every bus in Scotland but also, because it was issued by Edinburgh, the Edinburgh trams. Must find an excuse to try this out !

This brave young man worked in the Mill in our village. There is another memorial to him in our village. Withnell is his home village about 2 miles away.

My Great Grandad was awarded the Croix de Guerre in WW1. I still have it.
