That said, I've got a spare room when Miley Cyrus comes over ;)

Shows how much I bother with celebs. For some reason I always thought Miley Cyrus was a male. Just had to google.

Hill walk done again. It’s so mild I was sweating on the way up. Amazing for November.

Good morning. Grey, dry and still here which has to be better than dark, wet and windy!! What can I report? Not much really. Today is mainly a u3a day. I have organised a "Glass Making" craft workshop for a group. This is were participants make knick knacks and so on by fusing different coloured bits of glass. I'm popping along to make sure everyone finds the workshop, books in etc. and then I'll head home. Bridge and Canasta group for the u3a, which I run, this afternoon. That's it really.

I've just spent a satisfactory hour with my Wahoo finishing setup, checking the HR is correct etc. Happy with all of that.

I remembered yesterday how important my bike is. I don't live to ride but if I didn't ride life would be so much more difficult. I was in the depths early yesterday morning, feeling quite overwhelmed. Ready to give up. I had committed to meeting a buddy for a ride so had to go. I had only ridden a mile from home when I began to feel the stress flow away. After 2-3 miles I was free of all my worries. Nothing else does it like this for me. Sometimes I need to remind myself. Get on your bike Paul. It fixes lots of things.

#1 small person is called Mley. When she was born and named Mrs P said "I've never heard that name before." I responded it's after Miley Cyrus. Mrs P was very impressed..........................

.......................one day I'll have to confess I have no idea who Miley Cyrus is, if she's green, yellow, black, white, alien, British, American..............but I do know she's a person!!

G'day peeps.
Not sure what happened but I woke at 0830. I had to switch my phone on to double check that I hadn't morphed into Numbnuts .

Another one with a Nurse appointment, today, this morning for me.

I don't know if it is a national thing, but, once you are over 70, our GP surgery do a "health check" annually, (they call it Year of Health, at the moment, but, it has had various names over the years).

After my last check (about a month ago, the very next day, I received a text asking me to make an appointment with the Nurse. First appointment I could get was almost 3 weeks away, so, I assumed whatever it they thought was wrong with me was not life threatening.

In the meantime, I checked the NHS App for my test results and consulted Daughter No1 (a Nurse Practitioner), who told me that they re probably going to tell me that I am "pre-diabetic", whatever that may mean.

I had one three weeks ago I was able to do BP myself Ok Blood test result came back next day.The practice pharmacist rang me to tell me my cholesterol was borderline. Had a lengthy discussion about my adverse reaction to Statins Currently I have Ezetimibe an alternative to Statins. She suggested a. Very low dose Statin Rosuvastatin ( Try saying that after to many plnts)as a back up to the current medication. She also gave me a dietary sheet Review in two months. She was really helpful.
