What a lovely morning here. Very pleasant riverside trail done. I needed the head torch until 6.45 when it got light enough to see without it.

A good night's sleep in our own bed after a week away. The decorator did an excellent job and we've booked him to come back in the new year to do the lounge and extension. Now I have a week to sort out the creaking floorboards before the carpet fitter arrives. New month, new diet🤔. In other news I have been invited to take part in a clinical trial of an anti Norovirus drug.

I noticed that was yet another bloody vaccination they want to give us……erm, no thanks!

I have spent an hour face timing an old friend, a brit that moved to Florida 30 years ago, they are worried about how things will kick off if the t man wins, although the four Americans I spoke to today all want him too. I deal with the USA daily, which is how I end up talking to so many. On another note I was going to pop over there in January and have been told it may be better to let things settle down.

Yanks have short memories. I'd be more worried about how things kick off on 6th January if he doesn't win! Fortunately I leave the politics to those who have the most to lose either way.

Still, back in the real world, the van is all packed and ready to roll, and we'll be leaving for the peak district later this morning.

Morning all, busy today, a young lad is coming later this morning to pick up the Mini we’ve just sold, picking up the replacement, a Skoda Citigo from my FIL, that’s been standing for a while so will need a clean and good run. I also need to do a couple of hours of bookkeeping and then off overnight with my youngest to Northampton to meet my three brothers for supper and a few pints.

Bit more Bantam fettling this morning and then we'll have a walk down to the harbour for lunch.

Good morning all.
Slept very heavy so slowly coming round.
My stir fry was a success yesterday. I thought I had done way too much but my Bro has a VERY good appetite.

Cleaner comes at 10.00. Costs me 30 quid for 2 hours but is money well spent as she really works hard.

Apart from that it's a chill day.
