Happy birthday . Sorry no idea what was going on this day 74 years ago, as I didn’t come into the world until 2nd November 1962 . 😀

I was but a twinkle in my my Dads eye then. I didn't arrive until 1957.

Afternoon . It’s been a grey day and I am feeling grey too.
Stomach troubles are playing up today . I don’t know if is the stress of my daughters problems or just the fact I havnt eaten much since Tuesday . Hopefully it will settle down soon as I would like to got out for a meal on my birthday . 😀
I did force myself to go volunteering which was fun , it’s a bit like coming on here , but with out any mods. 😂 Which sometimes is good but at other times a moderator would be very useful. 😂😂

I have taken a phone call today, from my mate and ex Postie Jack,i have known him since 1972.We were at Moortown Leeds 17 Postal District Office. We had a little group who sat together during breaktime,Jack,John,Dad Bradshaw as we called Billy and finally me.Well for a few years Jack,Myself and Billy have been meeting at Jacks once a month for cake and coffe, only broken by my cancer treatment. When i got better meetings began again.Sadly Billy never turned up,and no communication either.Sadly today we have found out why,Billy got lung cancer so far gone he could not even have treatment. He has passed away, what a bastyard this cancer is.Rest Billy and you will see some old mates again now.

Good evening all.
After a 20 mile ride and a few pints in the Mitre I felt a bit manky, and a bit stiff.
So I ran a hot bath, sod the expense, and had a good soak.
I normally prefer a shower but sometimes a bath is what you need.
I feel a lot better now.

A lot of fireworks going off in the distance, Divali seems to be in full swing. Millie, our Collie, really doesn't like the bangs and the general noise.
No trick or treaters have knocked on our door as yet, long may it continue.

New fork legs, bushes and seals fitted to MrsD's Bantam.
It's looking better after a quick lick of paint (smooth Hammerite).
Should be good for a few more years.

Mrs P is watching the GBBO Extra Slice. Now there's bad TV and truly shite TV. How these people get paid is beyond me.

MrsP had tickets to go and be in the audience at the recording of this programme last Saturday.
She left early in one of the breaks in recording because it was so bad.
It would of been the episode your MrsP is watching.

Seems fair enough, unless you're outvoted by your American brothers.

I have spent an hour face timing an old friend, a brit that moved to Florida 30 years ago, they are worried about how things will kick off if the t man wins, although the four Americans I spoke to today all want him too. I deal with the USA daily, which is how I end up talking to so many. On another note I was going to pop over there in January and have been told it may be better to let things settle down.
