I think I’ll just wait and see if Openreach upgrade the existing cabling at some point instead. It does all I need at the moment anyway.

Just reading that someone on the OVO forum with the same storage heating set up as me got their new smart meter installed today and it seems to be working properly, switching the heaters on at the correct time. Hope mine is the same this coming Monday.

Yep! It's a question of who is fitting what to whom.........keep in mind I let my LBS do everything to my bike. Mechanics are not my strength.

Just had a circular from Virgin Media saying they are laying fibre in the street, but reading reviews of them sounds like they are best avoided. I can’t see me switching.

I *hate* with a vengeance the renewal dance every 18 months. …but the working experience over a couple of decades has been very good - we get around 250Mbps broadband, which is decent….

We are at the end of a short shared driveway…which is annoying, because CityFibre have cabled up the street, but we would need to get some agreement with the neighbours to get the point in the pavement to our house. Until we can get that, we are slightly screwed for options 🤦‍♂️

Something we might try to get to just to remove that VM battle…
