My Mum always told me it was the worst winter on record.
Happy birthday Mr G. We're still in London. Wonderful Pizza last night at " Pizza Pilgrims " near Waterloo station. Lunch at Evelina House before heading home to Poole.
Been an eventful and positive week, Mrs Tkk's Masters award ceremony at Glasgow Concert Hall, a great few days in Porty and an amazingly scenic Holyrood parkrun, but best of all new grandson Max's successful heart surgery.

Yes, I think that's the worst I can recall. Very vaguely I have this recollection it started snowing and went on for weeks and weeks. We lived quite rurally, for those days, and couldn't get anywhere. I was only eight so I could well be wrong.

Good morning. Here? It's damp, grey, cold and all round bloody miserable. That's the weather, I feel quite chipper. Nothing much on today apart from a physio appointment. I'm hoping the young lady will find some leg muscles which need manipulating. No, you lot stop it! Something isn't right and my knee swelling, while less, is still there. The bathrooms need a clean, a bit of ironing and I need t5o begin an application to become my son's deputy. I think I may have mentioned earlier I may have been acting illegally for the past 18 years in the way I manage his money! Certainly what we set up in 2006 wouldn't be allowed today!!!!!

I remember that. I was 15, my father was ill, and, "on the sick".
We ran out of coal, which meant no heat, no hot water.
So, I walked the 5 miles to my aunt and uncles house (he was a miner, "free" coal), with my younger brother's sledge, and dragged back two sacks of coal.
