My grandson and his girlfriend have just had an addition to the family. An 8 week old cocker spaniel called Archie.

If he she is as boisterous as Alfie the four legged devil there in for an interesting time.

There vocabulary is likely to consist of
Down
Stop
Shut up
Bring my slippers back.

The positive bits He goes to the door when he needs a pee or something more solid.
He sleeps through the night now .

Are last Cocker Sally lived for fourteen years. After she died we said never again. It was so upsetting to have to have her put to sleep six years ago,Now here we are again.

I think they have made a mistake. Cockers can be very hyper.. oh well. He is their problem not mine thank god.

Cockers like other working breeds are ver quick and eager to learn. As long as there are rewards to be had. Perseverance is the key.
Our Collie who is now 13 still loves to do her tricks and learn new things.

Alfie is three months old and is still full of puppie exuberance.Today he had his last injection In two weeks I will start to introduce him to other dogs A local pet shop runs a puppy socialising club so that will be next

It was about at eight months before I started training Sally Fortunately she was a quick learner..

Alfie will sit on command.

That's nothing.
I used to sit immediately Sue instructed me to.

Salut. I noticed that the washing machine was making a funny noise last night, like some metallic robing on something. Anyway once the washing done Mrs G notice that one metal rod from the bra cups was missing. I will have to take the back of the machine off later and see if I can get remove it from the drum.

My good friend " washing machine Pete " ( retired ) advised me to rotate the drum by hand and often one end of the wire will appear at one of the holes where you can inveigle it out. I used needle nosed pliers.

Love Glasgow, probably my favourite city

First, the admission of foolishness. Our flight left Southampton a few minutes late which we made up due to a 50mph following wind. I was gazing out of the window into a glorious sun filled blue sky and thinking what a good day it was going to be for solar generation from our roof panels. We then descended through thick cloud into Glasgow airport 😮 what a plonker🤣
Airport bus to Queen Street station and straight in to the Wild Olive Café at St George's Tron for home made soup with a scone, followed by a luscious slice of ginger cake. We're at the hotel resting after our journey, Mrs Tkk has hung up her posh frock ready for tomorrows awards ceremony at the Concert Hall 😎
