Expensive day, £517 in the optician, £28 for cake to take to the hospital for the staff, £65 for diesel, oh well, you cannot take it with you.

I hope you don't suffer to badly with the diverticulitis. I'm afraid I do and unfortunately it's getting worse. I'm off again to see a different consultant next month. I really hope he can find something to sort me out. It spoils my life a lot of the time.

Sorry for not getting back, it just I havnt looked in since I posted about it.
Thanks for the kind words . It’s not to bad at the moment, it has been worse, it’s mostly discomfort in the mornings from about 5am to 8am then the meds kick in and I am ok for the rest of the day. Luckily I am in the know about most of the problems with it as my mum had it for 20 years and had to have a stoma in the end.
Tbh I am just glad it’s not something more serious so far . Anyway I am off for the mri on Friday then back to the consultant in a couple of months . Fingers crossed .

Indeed you can't. We have a 'wealth redistribution' plan for the benefit of our kids up & running to avoid the pain of IHT as much as possible.
