You can't do things on the cheap. The clients deserve to have their cars repaired to the same standard and conditon it was before the accident.

If you bought a washing machine and it broke down, you would want it repaired to the same standard it was when purchased. You wouldn't want it done the cheapest it can as often you get what you pay for.
True, but they also want to minimise what they pay out to the other party.
Hit whilst cycling home and the person handling my claim tried to convince me it was only a bike, not worth that much. Then I sent them a copy of my receipt for the two tyres bought the week before. They gave up at that point

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

That's my point. The client wants to be reimbursed to the same standard as before any accident. You can't say we wil give you £100 for something that is in fact worth £300.

Its what they wanted me to do. At which point I swapped solicitors. And it ended up costing more in costs alone, for both sides than I was expected to take.

Maybe they should start writing off bikes with the same ease they do with cars.

Good morning. Grey, damp and blowing a gale. What have we done to deserve this weather...........he asks himself for the 178th time this summer. Geez, it's miserable.

Granddaughter day. Mrs P will take her swimming this morning and then we can see what the afternoon brings.

At some point today I'll be buying travel insurance for our holidays. I think this is going to be very expensive.

Good morning from a grey Dorset, good to sleep in our own bed after our trip up north. A slight drizzle when I put the empty veg box out, only to find this weeks delivery had already been made. I receive an automatic report on our solar performance weekly and monthly with a summary of last week's performance, last week was dreadful with net income of 7p, compared to more than £5 the previous week which is a good indication of how rubbish the weather has been.
Mrs Tkk is recovering well from Sunday's run, a week of taking it easy and then pick things up again for the next challenge.

Morning all :hello:

MrsD's got a hairdressers appointment at 11.15, so we'll go for a spot of lunch somewhere after.
Starting to feel decidedly Autumnal now.

Our ride on mower needs quite lot of work done on it over the winter. It's 17 years old now, but to buy a new one like it well I could buy a car for the same price, so repair it is.

One of these would be cheaper....

I had a 5.2 mile walk/jog this morning. I’m far too heavy to run comfortably but got to make a start. Hopefully now that the weather is cooling down I might find it easier.
