Felt roadie cleaned and prepped up ready for some early morning fitness rides.
This old furt, retired since August 2006,has rediscovered liquorice allsorts,oh i love em,plus a local shop is now selling jelly babies.
I spent a lot of my working life alone ie not in an office. When I had my own company I worked from home.I am wondering if we are seeing a slight pattern here; those who advocate retiring also like to be on their own or just with a partner. Maybe their work was spent with people that they did not enjoy the company of; not many of us are able to change that bit, I have been.

Mrs Slick has a great saying I refer to from time to time, never go back as the person you are now.I hear what you are saying there and we are all very different. So no rights or wrongs.
For me, I loved the 'buzz' of business too, but it always came at a cost ie the loss of personal time.
Way back when I was in the throes of corporate life I thought it was everything I'd ever wanted and that without it, I was nothing. Career success was a major lifetime marker of personal achievement.
Retrospectively, it was great fun, very satisfying but... it ate up precious time that I cannot get back. I see this far more clearly from the older side of the post-60 rubicon.
The moot point being that my thoughts regarding the matter then, are very different to now, and, as with all rubicons, once crossed there is no going back.
He!Looking at "another thread" I would suggest that he certainly does NOT want to join!!!!

I’ve been telly watching all evening. Stuff on Alibi then switched to Channel 5 at 9 for a new series called Cold Caller with Sally Lindsay. It was quite good.
