So.....my question is....why do people join it ?

Welshie, a serious question ie not a wind up.
I read your comment on the other thread about 'ticktock'. For some reason I get regular invites to download/sign up for it. I know nothing about it other than comments like yours.
So.....my question is....why do people join it? I assume there must be some benefits.

Lots join as it's a way of selling things. A few make good videos showing others how they make things and are quite good to watch. Others make funny videos. Some do videos about topics of the day and politics.

But then there is the element of nasty vile horrible pond dwellers. Keyboard warriors and general people who crawl out from under rocks to be vile. Those people seem to be growing in numbers i am afraid.

I avoid those people and just watch the things I am interested in. Its not a place for the faint hearted and you need a thick skin to go on there.

Posers who go on tiktok saying things like my husband left me because he said I'm ugly. Am I that ugly? While flashing . Its such total nonsense. They just want views and likes. Sad people

Good morning from a very windy Alnmouth. We're off to parkrun soon, as it's two laps we will be battling into the wind at some stage and wind assisted on others. MrsTkk birthday today 🎂🎂

It is not often I get emotional, but seeing the Princess of Wales all washed out from what she looked like makes me quite sad as they seem to be the “perfect family” that nothing can go wrong, but in realty they are no different then us.

I hadn't even heard the news as I haven't been following the news for several days. She's a person the same as you and I and deserves every bit as much sympathy and compassion as anyone else. I thought her video telling about it was very well done. I hope she makes a full recovery.

I just hope they are left in peace now. I hate this constant media frenzy about everything these days.

Sausage and egg today. Mr WD as a habit if making meals that are far too big. I left a lot of mine yesterday. Hopefully we will have less today
