Yay! It's Fish Friday!!
Although, we are having sandwiches when our guests arrive in 30 minutes and MrsD's made a cottage pie for this evening.
Good job I've got a fridge full of booze to numb the guest 'experience'.

Maybe you could have fish paste sandwiches as a compromise.

Lovely sunny day looking out the train window as we head north. Next station Doncaster. There's a group of ladies in the seats opposite, they're heading to Edinburgh to celebrate a 50th birthday

Well, the weather has continued to be unpredictable going from bright and sunny to chucking it down within minutes so I hopped on the Wattbike. I did a 30 mile route so my bum was getting a bit tender by the end. Glad to get off.

Beans on toast for lunch.

I'm watching the cycling from Belgium on the telly box as the rain is still falling outside.
I'm going to cook a savoury cauliflower cheese for tea. I add some chopped bacon, onions and mushrooms to the dish.

Mostly managed to miss the showers in town this morning, now settling down to the afternoon racing.

I do like liver and bacon with onion gravy, greens and mashed potatoes.
I normally have lambs liver, but every now and then I get calves liver. It's a bit crumbly with a slightly milder flavour.
