Morning. A poor sleep last night.

A cool start but another nice dry day to come.

Good morning my fellow retirees.
A cloudy start to the day here, but sunshine and a high of 14⁰c is forecast.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 9 and 10 of the am clock , and then it will be more of the same. Light exercises for the knee and taking it easy. MrsP is out at her pilates class this morning, her art class this afternoon and then the theatre this evening so it's me, the dog and the cats for most of the day.
I do have a few films to watch and a few things on catch up with on the iplayer.
I am starting to get the hang of my new phone, being 8 years in advance of my old one , many of the functions are the same, but there are many others to explore on it, plus it is much quicker.
Enjoy your day everyone. :cuppa:

Taking Mrs D's Volvo summer toy across the road for its MOT today,

🤞 it will breeze through.

I have a dilemma later in summer with my trusty old XC60.
MOT (& tax) due 1st Sept.
Ordinarily means I would do it (& a service) early in August….but we are away from 3pm on 1st Aug.
My old MOT guy retired, so it will have to be with new people.

If I risk an MOT on that morning….& it fails…I have no time to get anything fixed 😳
Do I get a service on Aug 29th (Friday) with my trusted service fella, then get an MOT first thing on Mon 1st with everything crossed?
Or lose a month by MOTing the previous week?

My life is full of tricky decisions 😂
Do I feel lucky, punk? 😜

Good morning folks, looks like a sunny start to April ☀️. March was much brighter than last year going by my monthly energy report. I almost got suckered in by an email from Simon Howie the Haggis people to the effect that Glasgow's George Square had been renamed " Sausage Square " 😁
A busy day ahead, veg box already delivered, blue bin day, walking group, drop stuff off at charity shop and Covid spring booster.
Living the life folks, living the life...

Just had a phone call to say Specsavers are bringing my new specs between 9.30 and 10.30. 1st time I've used their home service.
Cheap it ain't.
However I've been aware of my worsening eyesight** for some time and if they can improve it then it's money we'll spent.
**main problem is reading small print. Also, I enjoy watching the birds in the garden and it's become increasingly difficult to I.d some of the smaller birds.
