So - clocks go back tomorrow

which is all well and good
except that the bedroom clock is one of those old ones that decides the time based on a radio signal from

something - somewhere - probably magic

anyway - in the old days it just never worked
once it didn;t get the right time for 3 days!!

recently it has got the right time after the hour change - but not necessarily within a few minutes
sometimes a few hours later

which is rather confusing when you wake up and don;t know whether it is 7:20 or 8:20 or 6:20

so I will have to remember to take my phone up with me tonight so I can check
which will probably wake me up more and I;ll be up earlier than I intended

We are in Greece on a coach tour. Yesterday we had a flight from Saloniki to Athens. Was supposed to leave at 6pm but actual departure closer to 7.30. Arrived at hotel in Athens at 9.15 pm then dinner which ended at 10.45. Got to bed at 11.00 then lost the hour and the alarm went off as usual at 6,30. Knackered. Going to the Acropolis today.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Sorry I am being rather dim . Surely the farther you have to travel the more important it is you can get in when you get there , so having a guaranteed slot is a good thing ?
So if I go to our tip, I book my time for let’s say 9.30 am , I don’t have to be there dead on 9.30 ( but even if I was a little early I would still be let in ) what I am doing is booking a half hour slot from 9.30 to 10 am and I am though the tip in minutes.
While before we had this system , if i went to the tip on a Saturday or Sunday if would take me 35 to 50 mins to get though the tip because of the huge queues .
There is no way I would ever want to go back to the old system now . 😀

Sounds like an ideal world. However it hasn't worked like that I'm Wales and some have gone back to the old system because of it.

Good morning all.
It's a bit like being jet lagged this clock moving lark. The clock goes forward so yo lose an hour, but wake up an hour later than it is. Tonight we'll go to bed at the normal time, but won't be as tired because we've been awake an hour less.
I wish they'd leave the clocks alone, maybe in summer time, call it British Standard time or similar.
Anyway,
Our Son and daughter are coming over later, our son on his way home from work, and our daughter to take MrsP out this afternoon to the pictures. That leaves me and Michael free to watch the footy on the telly.

Good morning. Dull and windy. It is 7.33, I think. I went downstairs expecting the kitchen clock to say 5.45, it didn't it said 6.45. Either Mrs P changed the clocks, first time in 47 years, or some strange magic has occurred. I'm going to have another look in a minute.

#1 son has invited the entire family out for lunch. This is eight adults and three children. I know he can easily afford this but I hope he will let me share the bill.

I have dull, domestic stuff to do. Ironing, unload dishwasher, dusting etc. Exercise routines first though.

Before all that I'll sneak up to the garage to get the flowers I have secreted from Mrs P.

:hello: It's Sunday

Good morning all.
9° and a bit blowy here.
With my sleep pattern (or lack of) the clocks going forward don't bother me, I go to bed when I'm tired and get out of bed when I wake up (which is more often than I would like.

The whole family are out for the day, leaving just me and the dogs. So it's a chill tv day for me.
I recorded Back to the Future and may watch that at some point.
