What are gluten free chips ??

gluten free chips are chips prepared and cooked without any wheat anywhere near them

OK - I can hear the normal residents of this thread muttering that chips and sliced spuds lobbed into a deep fat fryer full of hot oil
Where is the wheat???

weeellllll
have a look at you frozen chips next time you use them - most of the have wheat in the ingredients because they sprinkle them with flour to make them more crispy
some posh ones even boast in the small print of a "light batter"

I have discovered that teh mark of a cheap restaurant is to ask if the chips are gluten free - if they are not then they are frozen chips
this include Wetherspoons which was not a surprise!!

Another problem is if the battered fish is cooked in the same fryer as the chips - and so the wheat based batter from the fish can contaminate the chips

the local chippie has a separate small fryer they use for some specialised things and they can use for gluten free fish and chips

When I was diagnosed with Coeliac I basically became an expert on reading ingredient on everything in Tesco and ASDA
the things you see are quite surprising sometimes!!

OK - been up for a while
they was frost on the front lawn when I got up and for some time after

anyway - it is the stag do today - 2 p.m. in the Phil pub in Liverpool
I am not looking forward to it but It will be OK when I get there
I have always over worried about stuff like this - so when I was younger I told myself to stop pratting about and just go
(I'll leave the pratting about for this forum!!!)

anyway - I also have to worry about what to wear
there is a WhatsApp group for the "do" and I have been banned from wearing a skin tight cycling race suit
although one bloke said that would be ok
I worry about some people!

anyway - just as well as I don;t have one - but they don;t know that (the groom probably knows his Mum wouldn;t let me out of the house in one though!!)

anyway - I'll probably be drunk when I get home
possibly via a chippie - just hope I remember to ask for gluten free chips

If you are going to be the stripper, later in the evening, don’t you need to wear something easy to remove, and, remember, clean Y-fronts 😂

Hope you practiced your pole dancing moves 😂

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
A very sunny day her, but as soon as the sun went behind a cloud for a few seconds the temperature dropped 10⁰ immediately.
A short bike ride was had, and two walks with Millie across the fields.
I also cut the grass as it was dry enough and from next Friday it won't get cut for a few weeks as I am due for knee replacement surgery on that day.
