36C here today. Still > 30C at 7.39 PM.
Not going to get below 22C overnight and max 25C tomorrow.
Loking forward to it.
Good morning again.
I eventually got back to bed at 04.30 and just woke up to find the sun streaming through the window.
A heavy frost on the garden.
My dodgy stomach aka the galloping trots meant I couldn't go to the pub for my usual mid week drink so we are going today instead.
Quandary........
We always get a bowl of chips at the pub but my daughter normally does a cooked breakfast on Saturday.......so which one do I have ???
Chilly but pleasant 6.5 mile walk done.
Porridge is on to cook. I’ve started buying the steel cut oats. They are nice but take quite a bit longer to cook.
OK - been up for a while
they was frost on the front lawn when I got up and for some time after
anyway - it is the stag do today - 2 p.m. in the Phil pub in Liverpool
I am not looking forward to it but It will be OK when I get there
I have always over worried about stuff like this - so when I was younger I told myself to stop pratting about and just go
(I'll leave the pratting about for this forum!!!)
anyway - I also have to worry about what to wear
there is a WhatsApp group for the "do" and I have been banned from wearing a skin tight cycling race suit
although one bloke said that would be ok
I worry about some people!
anyway - just as well as I don;t have one - but they don;t know that (the groom probably knows his Mum wouldn;t let me out of the house in one though!!)
anyway - I'll probably be drunk when I get home
possibly via a chippie - just hope I remember to ask for gluten free chips
What are "steel cut oats"
and what else do other (lesser) oat use to cut them?
and why does this mean they take longer to cook
WE NEED TO KNOW THIS!!!!!!!!
