The realisation you're getting old

I actually went on trains like this as a child. They're now used on vintage railways.

Away from home and went to clean my teeth. Delved into my bag, pulled out a tube without looking, onto toothbrush and into mouth. Savlon.

I can't be that old after all - I had to look up what Savlon was.

I have a tube of Savlon in my bathroom cabinet next to my toothpaste. Fortunately never made a similar mistake……so far

Woke up and my eyes felt a bit gummed up so squirted a large dose of optrex eye freshener into my eye....it was CD/DVD disc cleaner....it ****ing hurt!
*have also tried brushing my teeth with betnovate cream prescribed for ecxzema

Realising that when I was young (5-6 decades ago) I went to the Pictures to watch a Film...

... and the grandchildren go to the Cinema to watch a Movie.

Thank you - you have just reminded me to add 'the rear view mirror that sizzles at 3-4000 rpm unless it is dipped' to the things the dealer needs to attend to at our car service next month. 👍

I never did say "pictures" in that context, it was always cinema for me.

But it was to see a "film", not a "movie".
