Interestingly I was stuck at, what looks like that crossing for about 17 minutes at about 6.20 pm that day.
I guess they had gone into some sort of safe mode as no 2md train ever came past. Part human error by that report.

I don't think any line goes East from Nunthorpe, it being on the Boro Whitby line. So they meant Salburn to Middlesbrough line. It has the TPE to Manchester via Leeds and the Northern Trains to Bishop Auckland via Boro and Darlo.

Is that built by Vossloh or Stadler? There is a hint of class 68/88 about it.

It's a Siemens Mireo, used by a number of operators in Germany. The class 68/88 is based on the Stadler Euro.

All that remains of the station house at Brérec, on the line that used to connect St Brieuc on the north coast of Brittany with Auray on the south coast.

I've crossed this line a few times in recent weeks and this is the first stretch of track that I've found. All the other times, it's been so overgrown that it's been indistinguishable from surrounding overgrowth.

It's possible the track is still present in Loudéac. I'm hopeful of cycling through there fairly soon and if there's anything left, then I'll take some photos.
