You can admire a rainbow without forgetting what caused it.

not entirely sure what this means.
anyways - have you checked out my name?
Fair weather cyclist/walker are we?
by the by I thought that in the end it turned out pretty crap for various reasons entirely unconnected to Liz (partly maybe to having been playlisted by a cyclechat committee) - the last one I thought absolutely brilliant - a great advert for british energy enthusiasm and creativity.

Not I said the Monty... it's a line up from hell.

actually monty your judgement proved correct - do you have royal connections? - were you slipped the complete line-up/playlist?

How times have changed...

... seven decades back the monarchy was associated with climbing atop great mountains.

And now the association is more about a spoilt and wayward Prince climbing atop young girls.

control yourself - get yourself a cold shower.
(and not actually that young anyways - and by the by I'd check out the provenance of one of the line-up last night - not for a moment that I'm condoning/recommending THAT)

Yes, thoroughly enjoyable apart from a couple of acts that made me wonder why they were there.

give us the your review Dave - personally I thought the trip through the glories of British pop history fronted by fark knows who (to me) complete with shoddy dancing/choreography complete shoot - I thought I'd been dragged back to a time before me and the death of music hall - was half expecting a couple of sand dancers to shuffle across the stage/screen.

Watched from start to finish. The whole production was pretty spectacular.
Good job her majesty was in Windsor other wise could just imagine her sticking her head out of the window and shouting stop shining those bloody lights through my window and turn the volume down
We went out for lunch on Thursday and raised a glass to her Majesty’
Looking back she has been part of my life for the last 81 years Wasn’t it during the coronation that Everest had been climbed by the expedition led by John Hunt.?

i have a vague memory that the news was held back so that it appeared to coincide with the coronation. Different bloody world - no chance of that sort of news management these days.

no but Rod Stewart confirmed plus the rumours about Elton John, one can easily imagine where the bar is set

must admit to thinking elton john a great songwriter though I have the idea that Elton or Bernie laughingly dissed the lyrics of Your Song - the "then again no" bit.
Great tune though.

We had an excellent picnic in the village on Friday. Took place at our village sports club, bar open, a few gazebos dotted around, simple kids games, bring your own picnic. About 200 people turned up from age 8 months to 77 years.

A good time was had by all. Not a flat in sight and I didn't hear "jubilee" mentioned once. Just a great day bringing everyone together.
