As a professional Yorkshireman, & at the grand old age of .., I bought my first ever flat-cap, on Saturday (27th) in Skipton!!

Its a slippery slope, i used to have one in my younger days bought from Yates of Malton, and rarely wore it.

I bought one one a few years back to match a tweed suit and now I have about 5 of the things to complement different outfits / jackets. I think the buying of flat caps coincided with hair thinning and being treated to a no 2 grade haircut. Keeps the old noggin warmer.

It's an odd thing
On the bike, when I have a skull-cap on, the ears are uncovered & never get cold
They never did when I wore Akubras
Oddly, nowadays I need a woolly-hat

On Monday AM, I did wear the coat that I bought last summer, for cold/wet weather dog-walking. along with the new 'F-C', as it was raining quite heavily (& a pair of their boots too, which are very comfortable!)

My chocolate brown tweed trousers arrived today. The 34 inch waist is slightly noticeable, but only slightly and they are the usual Cordings quality, packed/boxed well and professionally as usual delivered by DPD!

After quite a few wears, I'm very impressed by the above trousers! So much in fact that I'm now thinking about buying the matching jacket and waistcoat. Like the trousers, the jacket and waistcoat are reduced in price in the Cordings sale. If I were to buy both, then the suit, as it'd become would cost me £610. The total Cordings sale saving on the the 3 piece suit would be £275. £610 (plus £14 for 2 deliveries) for a high quality suit is very tempting! The only problem I can see is would the jacket fit me well? As I've said quite a few times before, I have long 25 inch arms. If I were to buy the jacket I'd order it in 40L, hoping the arms would be long enough. Yes, you can return none altered items, so there is that, but I'm not a fan of returning stuff via the post.
