On a vacuum related note. Your VAX there. We've been thinking of buying one for the carpets (obs).. How good are they?

My wife just bought one to do our house with and it's brought the carpets up a treat. Bulky though which is worth bearing in mind if storage space is limited.

Cheers. I've got a garage so that wont be a problem

Like Aldi or the doctor's waiting room. Or a special outing to Princeland, the store formerly known as Poundland

Buying the jacket and waistcoat will give me many options. It's not just about a single suit. The jacket will go with most of my pants and the pants will go with most of my jackets etc. 🧐

This is outrageous.

Pants are underwear.

Our American correspondents may beg to differ, but they are wrong.

That's definitely a PANTS remark,
As far as I am concerned SHORTS ,are Summer wear, a stylish Bermuda , if casual, worn with calve length socks and dessert boots, but not sandals, if wearing sandals no socks.
If riding a bicycle ,then lycra bib shorts with a cycle jersey.

To me those outfits are more costume than everyday wear, but I do like that chap on the right's teddy bear prop. They have three quite old teddy bears for around £40 each in Accrington Antiques. According to the shop's owner, they were found in the attic, when clearing out an old lady's house after she died. They always say stuff like that don't they when selling such things. Anyway, wherever they are from they do look quite old and very well made. I looked to see if any had a Steiff label. None did, but I still might buy one as a prop. What do you think 🤔

By the way, the one behind his right shoulder with the green hat looks like he went into a charity shop to find his none matching costume. Made even worse by his shirt's top button undone and his tie's knot slovenly tied.

Seriously, you're intending to walk round Accrington and vicinity, dressed the way you do and carrying a teddy bear?
Are you trying to hook up with that female PCSO again?

Its a slippery slope, i used to have one in my younger days bought from Yates of Malton, and rarely wore it.

I bought one one a few years back to match a tweed suit and now I have about 5 of the things to complement different outfits / jackets. I think the buying of flat caps coincided with hair thinning and being treated to a no 2 grade haircut. Keeps the old noggin warmer.

Sorry about the thread drift but... Yates of Malton is fantastic. It's the only place I know where you can get a five bar gate, some sheep dip, a haircut and a cooked breakfast under the same roof.
