Another fair Isle(ish) jumper here and not a bad sale offer/price!

Edit...Just seen that it's 44 percent man made fibre, which isn't good.

I always thought that Fair Isle jumpers were one of those things that had to actually come from the island or they weren't considered legit?

Some mad made fibre in 'woolens' isn't all bad. I found that some 100 percent wool garments I had lost a bit of shape after wear. Man made fibres tend to be stretchy and help things keep their shape. The jumper below is 100 percent wool which makes me wonder if I bought it would it keep its shape. 🤔 That Fair Isle sleeveless jumper I have hasn't much give in it. It feels a bit like one of those wool jumpers your granny knitted for you.

Looks like a demob outfit, does anyone really dress like that?

Yes, it does have a demob look, which reminds me of when I went to a friend's house about 10 years ago. He opened his door wearing similar to the above, but also with a cravat, and a pipe in his mouth. I was a bit taken back and said "Oh, I didn't know you were an extra in a family at war". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Family_at_War. He closed the door on me and we haven't spoken much since.
