Thanks for the follow up, I was going to ask. I like the look of the heavyweight shooting jumpers.

Got my cotton one on today but I wouldn't mind a woolen one as well. Definitely recommend buying two sizes and returning one. The size differences are quite minor and having swapped my new small jumper for a medium, I'm thinking maybe I should have got a medium in this style as well, although the small fits well enough.

It's getting warmer, so it's time to think about spring and summer trousers. Peter Christian have/has so much to choose from! I think light brown/fawn and navy blue will offer so many matching options. I have my eye on these two.

I keep seeing Peter christian ads - are they any good?

I had to buy a new pair of boots, as my 'day to days' were falling apart
These were the cheapest & they're good quality too

Plus, I splashed out on new trousers (a 'jean cut') but a canvas type material at Costco
I think these were the last t-shirts I bought

I have a pair of Cordings ones in a similar colour. I once had to take issue with a dowdily turned out fellow who asked me if I was wearing them for a bet.

I went there several times as a kid back in the 80s when visiting my grandparents (my brother and I were both plane mad at the time). I remember it often being deserted and the pair of us occupying the cockpits of various types for what seemed like hours.

Isn't their Vulcan the one that ended up impounded in Rio after a refueling problem during the Falklands War?

I've only had one item off them which was the fedora type hat I bought a month or so ago. It cost £95, compared to the Christys fedoras I bought for just over £100, now about £175 and I'd say the quality is very similar. I think the trousers quality will be similar to Cordings as in how they're made, but they won't be as warm due to a thinner material used. That's what I want as Cordings moleskins and cords are made from very thick material which is great in the cold months but uncomfy in spring/summer. Also, Peter Christian pants aren't 'made to measure' like Christys are, so you aren't tempted to have turn ups etc, which aren't returnable if they don't fit as well as you expected.

It could be? (or was it the actual bomb-dropper; '607')
I can't remember, & it doesn't state it here; https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/vulcan/survivor.php?id=50

I have 2 Akubra hats
One is a 'Snowy River' which SWMBO (when she was just g/f) brought back from Australia for me
Circa 1996?

The other is a 'Sombrero', better known as the 'Bash', when worn by Les Hiddens
Mine is in the 'BTM' shape :okay:Quite frankly, I can't remember the last time I wore either

I had looked for a 'Sombrero' of these in the UK, found a shop at Ilkley, that sold them, but unshaped,I ordered from Australia, at a lower cost, 'shaped', & at lower cost, including air-mail!!

I brought a sheepskin flying jacket home from 'the shop' yesterday, to see how I feel in it. It's a £450 jacket for sale at £70 (to me £60). I don't think it suits me.🤔 I think it's a bit too casual for me. Plus I find it quite restrictive in the 'move arms around and stuff' department.

Do I want or need to look like Biggles I ask? 🧐

No it has side pockets and annoyingly no inside pocket(s). It's not 'vintage'. Maybe a few years old, but that's it. Those side pockets aren't that deep either. I think you'd easily lose a phone if you put one in them.

I've got a similar one in a wardrobe, slightly lighter lining though

I probably bought it 30 years ago, think it was about £150 back then!!
