I don’t “keep posting”. There’s no heartache here. Why should we be a hostage to one man’s taste? If Accy shut up a bit perhaps others might bother to post. I’m merely pointing that out. We know his style now: even bird feeding has become about his trouser choice. I’m simply bored with the noise, and pointing that out on what is my forum just as much as yours or his.

I find it interesting to see what others think is stylish. The OP did too. All we have now is an endless drone of overpriced hats and badly made suits, and one man’s “style”, which appears to be motivated by some desire to appear better because the clothes have a price tag. That’s interesting, but perish the thought we could have that discussion. It’s ignored, or shut down. Only ego massage, no discussion, thanks.

if this is the forum you want, then you crack on. You’re welcome to it.

Would you like some cheese with that ...

You really are pushing things along aren’t you?

I discovered during the Covid lockdown that there is watchmakers measurement known as the Ligne, 1 ligne = 2.2558291 mm.

What has this got to do with Accys rather smart Fedora you my ask.

Well the width of hatbands is measured in Ligne, there are 11.26 to the inch.

12 ligne to the old French "pouce" 27.07 mm, although a pouce is more likely to mean an American inch of 25.4 mm nowadays.

I know this is the “ Mens dress style “ forum, but there was a stunningly dressed lady standing at the bar in our favourite pub. She let me take a photo of her footwear. Shine on you crazy diamond 😎

Have any of you spent a fair amount on a pair of gloves? I bought a pair of Dents a few years ago, costing about £150. I can't remember the type of leather, but they had a silk lining which sadly developed holes after not that many wears. I sent Dents a message about it. They replied saying they offer a repair service (at a price). I for one will not buy Dents gloves again.🧐 'Ash' here seems to think Dents are wonderful, but something tells, me although he denies it, he's paid to promote company products in his videos.;)

I have a pair of leather gloves with cashmere linings but I've no idea where they came from or what they cost as they were a present. They are, however, lovely and warm in the winter and look great.

Disappointing jumper news as despite owning one in this size from the same manufacturer I think this new one is just a little short in the arms and the body. I've ordered a replacement in the next size up but annoyingly if I'd bought them both together I would have got free return shipping on the one I didn't want. Oh well, them's the breaks.

I had a pair along those lines; maybe my grandad's originally. Not that great as actual gloves - some if the modern windproof/ semi-waterproof fleeces from the cycling or climbing shop are hugely better at keeping your hands warm and can be washed and dried on the radiator

A gentleman without a cravat is like a fish without a bicycle , both are content but neither will ever realise what they missing.

I found and bought this one in the retro clothing shop yesterday. Three quid for what looks and feels like a 1960's silk cravat. ;)
