Sooo 'dandyesque' I'd say!!:becool: I suppose it's the hat you'd wear with an off white seersucker or linen suit, in the height of summer, though I think pale pink or lilac would also go very well with it!!

I like the olive shade of green! Not only that, but it has a ribbon around the edge of the brim, which to me makes the hat look tidier.

On the subject of suits, I've just ordered the one below. Well, not really as I fed my weight, height etc details in and it came up with that size, but why ask those questions when I could've just typed in that size anyway? 🤔 I like that summer suit and Brook Taverner deliver in a day or so and let you send items back, no questions asked. It's one to bear in mind when the warmer months get closer. I don't think I'll see many other summer three piece suites around here! So if I want to stand out peacock style, then that's the thing to buy!! ;)

Why is their model wearing a suit clearly too small for him?

I do have a rather nice pale linen suit though it's only really appropriate on rare occasions. My dark blue linen suit I wore a lot

I think the suit is a slim fit and slightly short in the arms and legs suits are 'in' now. I think the suit in the pics fits the model well. Besides, didn't baggy ill fitting white or summer suites go out with the ex news reporter, ex MP Martin Bell? ;)

I know that a fitted sillouette is a very traditional British look for suits, but that looks a bit too skinny for my tastes. I like a bit more lapel too although I don't normally go full 70s.

I've got a couple of pale linen suits. The newest one came from Cordings and looks great. I toyed with the idea of getting a more 'practical' darker one but where would be the fun in that. I normally manage to get a few outings in it a year so it's not doing too badly.

The other one is a lightweight wool number that came from the sale at Hackett. I usually wear that one in the summer when I have to go into the office and want to avoid being steamed alive on the train.

You wouldn’t know what my taste is. I might be as full on pimp as him for all you know.
Somewhere in the dim and distant past I posted a few ideas, but there‘s very little point now.
As with many threads, they become a cult of personality - even feeding the birds becomes about clobber. I’m just utterly bored of the narcissism.

Then why keep posting in the thread ? Unfollow and save yourself the heartache .
