I'd never heard of 'em in 60 some years until this thread, then within days, out of nowhere, this, in my book:

I watch videos like this to pick up ideas.



They break conventional rules like no black with brown and no slightly formal fedoras with casual duffel coats etc.

My Borsalino fedora arrived yesterday. As I thought, it's not lined so it's more for warmer weather. Am I going to keep it? Yes, I think I am. It'd cost me a tenner to send it back to The Netherlands where it was posted from and I do like it, even though I do think you're paying for the name, more than quality. I also love the gold/camel I'd call it colour! All in all I think it's pretty . It's also fur felt not wool felt, which adds to the attraction. It also has a fabric, not a leather sweatband, which is better for warmer days. To me leather sweatbands are classier, but they do make me sweat round the band, even on cold days.
