Just bought myself a Montgomery duffle coat, the 'real deal', wooden & rope toggles 'n' all - ! ^_^ Half price @ £150, thus affordable and looking forward to a cold, windy day so I can give it a proper test - ! Described as 'Royal Blue', but it's more of a dark RAF blue / grey, which I prefer. My dad, older brother & sister each had duffle coats many years ago, but I seemed to have missed out for whatever reason.
Sorted - ! :okay:

How about that for express delivery! Ordered late Monday night, arrived mid-day Wednesday and free delivery to boot!!🧐 I'm pleased with them. They feel quite robust and have a nice, not too heavy, not too light feel about them. I'll put them back in their box till I get round to ordering the suede protector and till spring arrives.🐣🍀🌸⛅🌷

Loake brogues I approve of, but what was a dapper young fellow like yourself thinking buying them in suede?

Just something a bit different. All my dress/smart/smart casual shoes are highly polished leather which sometimes is a bit too much, especially in spring and summer. I'd say they still look 'dressy', so they'll look ok worn with my spring and summer blazer and a shirt and cravat.;)

Outdoor gear for walking etc (most mornings these days) and seeing as I no longer have to go to a workplace, I will make an effort to dress up a bit for going for a coffee ^_^ Stylish jumpers, decent shoes, Ben Sherman shirts is my kinda thang :becool:

I've considered buying a pair of blue suede shoes but would be worried someone might step on them.

I still have two of my dad's cravats and he's been gone this fifty years.

A guy at worked bought a pair of Crockett & Jones loafers, so it takes all sorts I suppose. For those unfamiliar, Crocketts are outstanding quality, but loafers ?
I bought a pair of tan coloured, Loake 1880's (top of their range) loafers the other year. They are the only leather Goodyear welted sole shoes I have, the others being Dainite rubber soles. I don't feel safe wearing them, thinking I might slip, even on dry days. Also, they are too 'fancy' for tweed and for summer shorts, no matter how formal those shorts are. 🤔
