Glad he's working out for you, I never saw him play so can't really comment.

Not that it means much, but I think Beale just never fancied him, although its always going to be tough for a young player to break through at Ibrox, especially a defender. I think he spent much of his time with us out on loan to gain experience, so hopefully it standing him in good stead now.

I don't think he ever got a start for you?

He's clearly better than championship level and a three year contract hopefully shows our confidence in him. Definite potential to make us some money down the line.

Likewise Armstrong and Watson. I fully expected to lose one or both of them in the window, but keeping them is just as important as new signings.

It's only 17 seasons that Accrington have been a Football League club.

I meant the 50 years I've followed Blackburn and kept an eye on Burnley. Then Accrington when they rejoined the league in 2006.

He is indeed. Was at Cappielow when we played there. On the pitch, interviewed for t'wireless and everything.

He's said he's a Rangers fan in the past I know, but that was for top Talksport bantz with Alan Brazil, safe in the knowledge that only two clubs exist in Scotland for their English listeners.

I knew about the Rangers thing but wasn't aware of the Greenock connection. Fair play to him then.

He lives in Cornwall, his holiday place is in Dunoon, so couldn't be much further on the mainland really!

I wonder how long he'll last before the standard of Scottish refereeing causes him to have an absolute meltdown? Not long, I suspect.
