Ipswich aren't going up and if they did they'd come straight back down, and Blackburn aren't going down. Leicester, Southampton and Leeds are going back up and QPR, Sheff Weds and Rotherham are going down. Rovers have a bigger, more modern ground than Ipswich. They are former Premier League Champions. Ipswich have only been Champions of England once and that was 62 years ago and they've only won the FA Cup once, whereas Blackburn have won it 6 times, granted their last win was 96 years ago. Rovers beat a well off League 2 team in the FA Cup, while Ipswich lost to a non league 6th tier team. Blackburn is in the north west which is a full of top clubs, whereas Ipswich is in the middle of nowhere. :hello:

Oh and Ipswich have that crap singer bloke as a 'big fan', which is another minus!! :okay:

Ipswich even claim that Norwich, which is 45 miles away is their 'local derby', when in reality their derby rivals are Colchester and Cambridge.

None of that makes Blackburn a "bigger" club than Ipswich.

Ipswich are a big fish in a small pond. Blackburn are a big fish in a lake. If Ipswich were hypothetically transported to the north west of England they'd be League 1 at best.:cuppa:

Well that isn't going to be happening any time soon.

I reckon that if you asked football fans to name a random club, Ipswich would come higher up their list than Blackburn.

To be fair to Ipswich, they have won the UEFA cup, played 10 seasons in Europe in all 3 (historic) competitions and remain unbeaten at home in European competition, albeit in the 70s-80s.
Blackburn dominated the FA cup in the 1880s-90s.

Was only saying yesterday that I took my young wife into the Cop to watch Lpool play Ipswich. Must have been around 1970.
I think Lpool won but I can't recall the score.

And probably will. :okay:

In all seriousness, I fail to see how sacking the manager halfway through the season 1 day before the window shuts smacks of self preservation, which is the worst possible trait of any board.

Two for the price of one.
Could also double ad goalie as he’s got a great eye for the ball and catches most 😀

Well what can you say about a team a former shadow of its self.Chelsea a team of individuals. But I do think it was a penalty. He did tap his boot and the ball was no where near. But would it have changed the game.

As a Lpool fan I agree...we dodged one there.
Now if only Nunez had got his shooting boots on

Aberdeen have been rotten since McInnes left and towards the end of his overly long tenure they'd run out of ideas.

Massive squad and budget with very little to show for it. Doesn't help that Cormack is a melt.
