You'll have it on an old football programme somewhere. I have the Rovers 3rd Division winning team's autographs on the back of the programme for the match they won the title in, in 1975. It's in a box somewhere, on top of a wardrobe. John Kenyon a Rovers player also worked as an electrician at the same coach/bus builders as my dad. He worked there to supplement his income as he wasn't a regular 1st team player, so he missed out on win bonuses etc. My dad asked him if he could get the winning team to sign my title winning match programme, so he did. I'm tempted now to get those old programmes off the top of that wardrobe and take a look at them again, but I might fall attempting it and they'll be covered in dust, so maybe another time eh!I do indeed ! .. .gosh - that's a name from the past. I reckon I might have his autograph somewhere..
He was a very good striker/goal-poacher - and I reckon he'd not be out of place in a current Championship side.
Nice story above (if a bit sad) about Bryan Douglas. I'm surprised (and pleased) that he's still with us. I reckon he must be over 90 now.
