What looked from one angle as a good challenge by Konate on Mac Allister was plainly nothing of sort from a difference angle.

It certainly wasnt a punch in the neck, which is what a thump means……but hey ho, each to their own.

Well what I saw was probably a foul but Mcallister 'milked' it like crazy. He exaggerated Konates tackle and flew through the air like Tom Daly. Then the medics were fussing over him about to give him his last rites. There was contact from Konate on Mcallisters neck area, not a punch. Needless to say he was up and running around soon after. Rugby players get that sort of contact many times and they play on. Just pathetic.

Someone once told me the following:

Football is 90 minutes of blokes pretending they are hurt and rugby is 80 minutes of blokes pretending they are not hurt.

The battle for the championship playoffs is still as tight as ever. Please the Boro bounced back from a disappointing red card influenced defeat to the mackems by putting one over on Watford. perm any 4 from 10-12 teams behind Burnley And Shef U, who appear to have the auto prom spots sewn up.

Indeed. We are 12th, but only 3 points off a playoff place.

The top two are pretty well away. There are as many points between 2nd & 3rd as there are between 3rd and 18th.

Chelsea about to pay €120m for enzo fernandes, taking their spending to 600m for the last 6mths. Ridiculous, especially as he has only played 17 games for benfica and cost 10m in the summer.

Yes, he did! We spent the second half in the new, very plush for football bar, which overlooks the ground with TV's showing the match live here and there. He/we got talking to a few Leeds fans who'd bought tickets for the home end, allowing them into the bar. All were well behaved and nice to chat too. I didn't see the Leeds fans leave, due to being in the bar till way after the game, but as far as I know they were also well behaved. My Leeds friend was so impressed by being able to sit in comfort, drinking beer while watching the match, which he said would cost 'an arm and a leg' at Leeds, that he said he'll be coming back to ASFC when Leeds aren't playing.
Reported. We have reputation to uphold, we can't have this sort of thing in the public domain.

I think they were subdued due to Accy fans 'passionate' but non confrontational reputation. If you'd been up against the Burnley Dingles I think it would've kicked off, especially outside the ground!:ninja:Having said that, Bolton fans, Sheffield Wednesday fans and Derby fans this season have caused trouble inside and outside the ground! Sheff' Wednesday had 500 'hooligans' escorted back to Accrington railway station by mounted police and dog handlers, after they were tipped off that those 'fans' were heading towards the town centre after the game, intent on trouble!

I remember a Notts County v Chelsea match c 1980 in the old Division 2 (Championship today). Some Chelsea "fans" got in amongst the home fans but did not last long as an elderly supporter hit at least one of them with his walking stick with a loud shout of "Copper here they are".
