If you don't like the idea for cycling one could always use it for posting. I learned a long while ago and in another place that on the internet 'cooler heads will prevail'.Now add the rest of the post?
This will not actually form ice.......
Simply cools it to a low temperature, close to freezing, it then warms as you travel, and provides a cool evaporating head wear, solving the problem asked
I just stopped at the scene of a cyclist, victim of a hit and run. WPC in attendance, no serious looking injuries - the woman was sitting - she assured me an ambulance was on its way and continued...
''...she did say the helmet saved her life, you might think of buying one...''
''I've got one, no, I've got two but when people are allowed to drive like that and get away scot free, a helmet's not going to be much use.'''
She didn't press the case....
Posted before... but
We were on a study day, Ironically on "evidence based practice"
One of the younger people had the audacity to cycle in without a helmet, and was literally "harangued" by one of the lecturers during the coffee break for not wearing one
Then at lunchtime she started again....
So I asked what evidence she was basing it on, was it Rivara and Thompson?
She had never heard of them and replied that it was "common sense"!
Disliked even more being asked whether "common sense" constituted "evidence based practice"
Apparently in the case of helmets, it is so clear that you don't actually need evidence .......... so much for the study day
I can't eat chocolate
Eh?Don't try and be "different".Don't think you are a rebel because you don't wear a helmet.
Wear a helmet and stop being one.
Don't die of ignorance.
Or Aids.
I think the suggestion is that the non-helmet-using majority of British cyclists are rebels
Just thought I'd report back, I cleaned my pads on Saturday for the first time in two years, didn't really make a lot of difference, still hardly realised I had it on, just as before.........Errm; YOU were the one suggesting that pads are removable and able to be cleaned! I was just making the point that it would be a PITA mid-ride after a stop, which is the point in a ride at which I find cold, sweaty pads uncomfortable.....
I think the suggestion is that the non-helmet-using majority of British cyclists are rebels
What makes you think that non wearers think they are "rebels" or "trying to be different"?What makes you think you are in the majority ?
Every credible published statistic, including some from pro-helmet organisations. What makes you think you are in the majority ?
Don't try and be "different".Don't think you are a rebel because you don't wear a helmet.
