In over 20 years I've ended up in A&E once. No I wasn't wearing a helmet and no it wouldn't have helped. You're raising worthless arguments that have already been debunked countless times on this thread.I slid on ice years ago (before wearing a helmet) and split my head open which I'm sure you'll agree isn't nice.
I slid on ice again a few years back and landed on my helmet, got up shook my self off and continued on to work none the worse.
So, accidents happen and it's a lot better not ending up in A+E if possible.
So why haven't you fitted ice tyres yet? The helmet protects your head but there's all the rest of your body - and what about the bike?I slid on ice years ago (before wearing a helmet) and split my head open which I'm sure you'll agree isn't nice.

You don't fall from a bike at 20mph either...Comparing to tripping over while walking isn't comparing apples to apples, you don't walk around at 20mph?
Amongst other reasons: there's no evidence that they improve outcomes, they make cycling look unreasonably dangerous and each extra helmet user weakens a main reason that we aren't all forced to wear them by law.Why is it so annoying that people choose to wear helmets?

Could say that for both sides to be fair..
Never said you shouldn't. All I've asked is the reasoning behind it: are you following false evidence or just doing something that is illogical because you want to?So just because you don't want to wear one means that I shouldn't?.
