As long as I breathe, I attack.
My daughter started her "Chrismas List" last night

mrs ck has already done the kids x mas shopping !
She does park vouchers and get a prepaid debit card this time of year so the kids make their list and get pretty much what they want , part from mini ck 2 who wants to go to wembley for a big footie match , erm yeah its about 3 hours each way plus parking , it would be a stay over night plus cost of match etc etc .

I've booked Bruce in to see Santa Paws on the 21st December. A tenner gets him 15 minutes playing with the elves, a photo with the great man himself, and a dog toy. He'll love it.

Arrived at a Center Parcs yesterday morning, and saw xmas lights everywhere.

"Surely they won't be switching them on until after Nov 5th?", i thought. Wrong!!!

So which mince pies are looking like they will be the best this season? Anyone done a taste test yet? They are all out so surely someone has bought some already?!!

I'm done with making min spies, as it's just the two of us, and my days of feeding the 5000 at charity teas or gifting to neighbours are pretty well much done and dusted.

Ergo Tesco's "Finest" are the Min Spy of choice here.

Christmas bah humbug. When i wer walking the streets 1972-1983,Christmas was hard work.two full weeks 05-00 till 17-00.Excessive sorting longer prep time more houses getting mail and two deliveries. You were not allowed time off either, nor could you refuse to do xmas pressure as it was called. So like me dinner a pint or two maybe a whisky then zoned out and no bloody fun for the family.Indoors was as bad, finished 18-00 xmas eve back in boxing day night 22-00.But i do love xmas and make as much fun as i can.Sadly my first family don't have good memories of me.Much to my shame and it still hurts all these years later.Sorry to spoil the thread.

Aldi Lidl does amaretto mince pies and they’re bloody marvellous.

I'll have a look out for those. Hopefully they won't be too sweet - as I tend to find with Aldi stuff. Trouble is, I love almondy-type things.

Their stollen is nice. Well there used to be two and one was cheap and nasty but the other was cheap and nice. Not seen this years offerings yet as I don't live near one now.

I do like Lidl's Xmas offerings. They do some very nice spiced biskits, and a marzipan-stuffed gingerbread that is to die for.
