Newlands Lodge
Goosehill Lane
Warmfield
(Normanton)
Wakefield

The only remaining gate-house, of 4, (I know where the others stood*) into the NewLands Estate

Looking past the garage, & the 2 bridges are over the railway
The farthest line is between Wakefield KirkGate & Normanton
The closest is the abandoned/closed ‘Goosehill Junction

* Park Lodge, Stanley Lodge, Old Lodge (NewLands Lodge superceded it)

EDIT; Friday 15th @ 06:47
I also know this NewLands Lodge, just south of Belford, on an 'abandoned' section of The Great North Road, created when the village was bypassed

Rowan House
Pinderfields General Hospital
Wakefield

Built as a Ward, for ‘Stanley Royd’, the old mental asylum that was here
Some buildings remain, but are mainly converted into flats/apartments
(Pinderfields retains a couple)

After closure of Stanley Royd, it was the HQ building for PGH…. until a PFI build opened in 2010
Now it’s primarily Consultants office, (some) finance, various specialist Nursing groups, (possibly?) IT

I’d just left the main entrance

And a phoney (?) Trig Point by Derwent Water, yesterday. No plaque or top cap, in fact totally devoid of any markings!
