I've treated myself to a Fender Mustang Micro Plus headphone amp, blimey, it's an amazing bit of kit, it comes loaded with 25 amp & effects models, built in tuner & can be used as an audio interface, the sound is amazing, plus the accompanying Fender Tone app has the ability to create different amp/pedal combos or download others that people have shared

Absolutely incredible stuff here from the Google AI trying to figure out how modes work.

I love my headphone amps. They make it possible to just use my hi-fi as my amp. :okay:

i keep trying to turn off the useless AI Overview feature. It's garbage. I don't want it.

It's terrible. I normally skip past it but happened to read it this time. Just so confidently wrong in every way. I can sort of see how it's worked some of it out, which is from people explaining modes badly, but that doesn't help.

Modes baffled me for years until i actually needed to use one because I couldn't find a standard scale to fit the two chords i was trying to play along to. Then they made perfect sense and I'm baffled as to what i found baffling in the first place

I like puppies!

I read music well enough to simply do as it tells me. If the music is wrong, ormI don't have it, I'm good enough to pick it out by ear.

I prefer sheet music, but can do to latter with sufficient aplomb to cover for my lack of formal theory knowledge. I am the wonky and maladjusted product of formal piano lessons as a kid, years out, then figuring out the rest in later life.

I had fairly hardcore music theory lessons when I was very young so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Even if I've forgotten a fair bit I'm familiar enough with the concepts that I can understand what's meant when new things are explained to me or I need to revise something I knew forty years ago.

Just got a MIJ Impact branded Tele-ish copy. All good, plays well but.....
....the grommet/sleeve things that go round the tuning posts have been replaced by these white plastic discs. The posts themselves are pulled onto the wood under tension from the strings (wound onto the posts the wrong way round!)
Struggling to find anything about Impact beyond mentions on old Reverb listings saying the name was used on Teisco or Jedson imports twixt 1969 & 1975. Anyone know of a source of info about the brand?
Secondly, more importantly, can anyone point me toward somewhere I can source the parts to sort the tuning posts??

it was that pesky Black Napkins by FZ... C#min7 to Dmaj7. The key is C#m but that doesn't have a D note in the standard scale.. so i had to go C#m phrygian or locrian which both contain the C# and D notes.
"Modal interchange" is a catch-all term for pieces that contain rogue chords and don't fit into any single scale or mode.
