Certainly Nuno Bettncourt seems to have taken the mantle of champion shredder since EVH passed away.

I always thought Guthrie Govan was meant to be the best in that rock world? Although not a big fan of electric rock guitar I still enjoy a sneaky peak at JTC (Jam Track Central) sometimes.

Nah that's a ripoff of the famous (recorded interview) with Hendrix, when asked "What's it like to be the best guitarist in the world" he replied "I dunno you better ask Rory Gallagher"

Although EVH say that, he was indeed cribbing from Hendrix. I might still have the edition of Guitarist that reported it.
