Gretsch G6120 please!
(or a Gibson E335 ‘dot’, as played by Dave Edmunds)

I still have this LP
It features the song that Springsteen 'gifted' him (& didn't release himself for quite a few years); From Small Things Mama (One Day, Big Things Come)
(& a up-tempo version of the ballad 'Warmed Over Kisses (Left Over Love' with Dave Peacock (of 'Chas & Dave') playing Banjo on it

I'd settle for a '5420' in this colour; https://www.gretschguitars.com/gear...hollow-body-single-cut-with-bigsby/2506115512

Aye but it's not a Telecaster
DE also played Telecasters
I think he originally recorded 'Sabre Dance' on a Telecaster?

my Fender is now worth twice what I paid for it, one year only colour, 'Hot Rod Red have a butchers £1,300 quid

There’s a you tube video of Phil Manzanara discussing his guitars he used in Roxy Music, one of which is 1951 Fender Telecaster in the same butterscotch blonde, which he admitted he has turned a possibly 5 to 6 figure value guitar worthless as he was advised by someone in 10cc to take it this luthier, who refinished it, put a humbucker in it, made some other modifications to it, oh dear what mistake to make!

My '68 Percision is worth well more than I paid. No mere mortal can afford the vintage stuff any more so collectors have moved on the the early CBS era. Kerchingaling!

A guy I'm a big fan of has a 67 Tele, Steve Walwyn who played with the DT's a band so good Steve Marriott joined em.
Steve later played in Dr Feelgood when Lee was still alive and when playing with 'The Clash' (double header) Joe Strummer wanted to buy it but Steve told him "Not for sale mate". Affectionally nicknamed 'The Plank' he's had it since 71.

Quite common, Keefs 'Micawber' has a humbucker in the neck position and Joe Bonamassa now owns Terry Reid's Tele so modified

I've just bought my son an SG copy off eBay. It's had a lovely purple paint job and upgraded pickups. Plays very nicely, so quite a bargain for 100 nicker. I actually prefer playing it to my Ibanez now! It's certainly not an Epiphone but doesn't feel like a cheapy cheap one either
