How do we join In and report or is it just a case of posting on this thread.
Just post when you've got your first half century ride done in the challenge thread

Well I seem to be up and riding again in 2025 with 54 km. It was really good to get out today. I’d have liked to have got the 100 km out of the way but the weather was never going to allow that. I’m slightly disappointed at not getting the 50 miles I’d had in mind and the views would have been epic but I didn’t trust the roads. Good luck to everyone trying to find a break in the weather!

Walked the dog early today. Planning to get a qualifying ride in: mid-morning to midday once the light frost predicted had cleared. This is the scene coming back into my estate:

Doesn’t look or feel like this is clearing anytime soon to me. You’d be better equipped out there with crampons and an ice-pick than Winter tyres.

And here’s tomorrow 😳

No problem you don't have to let us know before your first ride I can always accommodate extra riders ,will be good to have you back

Thank you. I did something weird with my knee and it wasn’t playing until around April or May. I have missed riding, quite a lot but get a bit fed up riding alone now, whereas I used to love it. I am aware that my AuDHD makes me a really irritating person to ride with. What I need is the West Norfolk irritating and reasonably slow cyclists club.

If you cross the boarder in to Suffolkshire I'm sure you could find some irritating riders 😁

Still waiting for it to warm up and there being no possibility of black ice on the local lanes.

I am only aiming for 1 x 50km/month ride for the first 3 months of the year, and ramping up thereafter - so I am still optimistic for getting my January 1 point in.

Mrs SD is a bit sceptical of me doing it though. ^_^

The January weather has prevented any riding to date. I have half an eye of this Friday but with -1⁰ forecast for 09.00 it seems unlikely. Saturday and Sunday are forecast for 2/3⁰ so might be possible.

Ditto.

Another forecast watcher here. Who’s desperate to get out in something resembling semi sensible / non hazardous to health; conditions……

Same here.

Today (SE Lake District) is -2.5°C and thick fog.

Not going out in that. Turbo session (groan) instead.
